DUSHANBE, 11.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 11, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, commissioned in Sangvor district the building of the district’s Division of Education.

According to the project, the building of the education department consists of three floors and a basement, and was built with the support of the Government of the country at the cost of 5 million somoni in preparation for the well-deserved reception of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The construction work started in 2019 with the laying of the foundation stone by the Honorable Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, and the building was built within the specified time with a modern design and compliance with national urban planning elements. During the construction works, 30 local residents were provided with jobs and good wages.

Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon was informed that the new building of the Education Division of Sangvor district has 10 office rooms and 44 seats.

The assembly hall was built on the third floor of the building and has 100 seats. The hall is equipped with necessary accessories. In the future, it is possible to hold conferences, meetings and other educational and cultural events in this hall.

The building also has a library, archive, canteen and other auxiliary rooms and an independent heating network.

A small hotel in 3 rooms has been established on the third floor of the administrative building.

The surroundings of the building of the Education Division of Sangvor district are decorated with lights and greenery, which adds a special beauty to the center of the district.

With the construction and commissioning of the building of the Division of Education in Sangvor district, decent working conditions were created for the employees and specialists of the field. Now, the people of education in this high-mountain district have the opportunity to carry out their activities better, to make a suitable contribution to the development of the education sector, to increase the level and quality of education and training of students.

Currently, there are 58 educational institutions in Sangvor district with the coverage of 5,176 students.

Honorable Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, after getting acquainted with the new facilities, praised the quality of the construction works and instructed the education workers to further improve the quality of education, the wide use of modern technologies, the involvement of students in the study of natural and exact sciences, mastering foreign languages.

Almost 50 percent of the employees of the education department of Sangvor district are women. This year, 22 people entered the country’s universities and institutes according to the presidential quota, 11 of them are girls. In total, 200 girls of the district entered higher educational institutions according to the presidential quota during the last years.
