DUSHANBE, 25.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 25, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, continuing his working trip to the Darvoz district, also visited the ethnographic village of the tourist complex “ZEV.S”.
The new tourist facility was built by domestic entrepreneurs to celebrate the 35th anniversary of state independence, and more than 20 local residents have been employed there.
In this tourist area, 8 models of residential houses, a water mill, a windmill, a juvoz and other types of folk customs and traditions have been built to present the ancient history and culture of the Tajik nation, which include different periods of life and work of residents of the cities and districts of the region.
In the ethnographic village, small houses made of mud and wood, which have been built for centuries by mountain Tajiks for themselves, will be presented to tourists.
According to historians, 3 thousand years ago, the Tajik people, especially the inhabitants of the Badakhshan mountains, lived in this way in the villages.
At the same time, ancient folk crafts and national dishes were presented here by residents of the cities and districts of Rasht, Khatlon and Sughd regions.
During a conversation with residents, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the difficult situation of the modern era forces us to appreciate the peace and tranquility of the Motherland, to take decisive steps to protect national values, preserve the rich culture and history, and to make our contribution as loyal children of the land to the prosperity of our country.
In the ethnographic village, not only the ancient houses of the Badakhshan people have been built, but also modern facilities that attract the attention of tourists.
Special equipment for the production of gulob, which is used to prepare perfumes, wine and medicines from the medicinal flowers and herbs of Tajikistan, was presented.
The village of Zev in the Darvoz district has pleasant weather, healing springs, and natural landscapes that attract the attention of every visitor.
With the attention and support of the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, a fish farm, an artificial intelligence computing center, a tourist complex, an ethnographic village, and other modern facilities were built and put into operation here. These institutions have provided jobs to about 100 local residents.
In the ethnographic village, a short cultural program was presented by the district’s artists, presenting the ancient history and culture of the Tajiks.
