DUSHANBE, 07.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 7, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, launched the activity of «Dorui Sughd» LLC in the industrial area of ​​the city of Guliston.

«Dorui Sughd» is considered the second pharmaceutical enterprise in the city of Guliston, and it was built on the basis of the instructions and guidelines of the Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon within the framework of the implementation of the fourth strategic goal — rapid industrialization of the country and «Years of industrial development», with the initiative of the domestic businessman Abduvali Hojiev.

Devices and equipment installed in two production lines are imported from world-renowned companies, and the process of production and packaging of medicinal products is carried out in accordance with international requirements and standards.

Medicinal products are manufactured at the new industrial plant using fruits and vegetables, native medicinal herbs and partly due to the import of raw materials.

60 local specialists are employed in the new industrial enterprise, and using modern industry technology, 30 product types are produced, including capsules and pills of various shapes and sizes, granules for suspension, syrup, solutions for external use, therapeutic and decorative ointment and other medicinal import-substituting products. According to the plan, the production will be expanded to 60 types in a year.

The production capacity of the enterprise per year is 30 million packages of medicine and capsules, one million containers of suspension, 500 thousand containers of solutions for external use and 1.5 million boxes of ointment.

During the acquaintance of the Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon with the production process, it was emphasized that in the conditions of rapid climate change, the human demand for natural medicines is increasing, and domestic pharmacists should make extensive use of the opportunities and capabilities of the rich nature of Tajikistan in this direction. According to statistical data, the import of medicines to Tajikistan is 92 million dollars per year. In this regard, the Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon instructed the officials of the relevant sector to increase the quality and volume of production, to make an adequate contribution to reducing the import of medicines and creating new jobs.

According to information, more than 4,500 medicinal flowers and herbs are growing in Tajikistan today, which are suitable for use in medical science and the pharmaceutical industry.

The laboratory operates with modern devices and equipment in “Dorui Sughd”.

Specialists examine all raw materials using the available conditions and possibilities with special methods and ensure their safety.

Based on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, domestic businessmen have taken beneficial measures to prevent the import of low-quality and counterfeit medicines and reduce the price of medicines, and by building new industrial enterprises and establishing the production of domestic flowers and herbs, they play an effective role in protecting the health of society.

With the establishment of “Dorui Sughd” LLC, which contributes to the implementation of the State Program for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025, the number of pharmaceutical and medical goods enterprises in Sughd Province has increased to six.

According to the information, the pharmaceutical enterprises of Sughd Province increased the production of medicines and medical goods to more than 486 thousand somoni in 2023 and to 200 thousand somoni in the first six months of this year.
