DUSHANBE, 17.10.2024 /NIAT “Khovar”/. An important seminar “Exploring Investment Opportunities in Tajikistan” organized by the representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan in China was held in Beijing. This is reported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan.
The event was attended by more than 40 leading Chinese companies actively interested in investment projects in Tajikistan. The main topics of discussion were prospects for cooperation in the agricultural sector, mining and manufacturing, which aroused considerable interest among the participants.
It was noted that Tajikistan is a country with huge investment potential, especially within the framework of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative. Tajikistan offers stable conditions for investors, including tax benefits and the possibility of unimpeded withdrawal of capital, which makes it attractive for international business. As noted at the seminar, the country’s rich natural resources, such as water and mineral resources, provide ample opportunities for joint projects.
In addition, Tajik representatives emphasized the importance of hydropower, agriculture, textile production and mining, which are of interest to Chinese companies already successfully operating in the region.
After the event, an official visit of a delegation of Chinese investors to Tajikistan in November 2024 was proposed. This visit will provide an opportunity to further explore the country’s investment environment, meet with representatives of the Government and local businesses, and discuss specific projects for implementation.
The organizers of the seminar, including the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan, expressed confidence that cooperation with Chinese partners will help strengthen economic ties and bring bilateral cooperation to a new level.
