On October 13, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, met with leaders and activists of Ishkoshim district after the opening of a number of facilities of various purposes in the district.

The Leader of the Nation expressed his gratitude for the efforts of the residents of Ishkoshim district, including honorable businessmen, in the direction of making their country prosperous and beautiful, and highly appreciated their zeal and loyalty.

It was mentioned that at the time of independence, more than 1 billion somoni were allocated for the improvement of the district. During this period, 10 state investment projects in the amount of 62 million somoni have been implemented in the district, and now 5 more projects in the amount of 106 million somoni are being implemented to further increase the level of well-being of the residents and make it prosperous and advanced.

The Head of State stated that within the framework of the development plan in honor of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence in Ishkoshim district, the construction and renovation of 110 facilities of various purposes were planned, and 55 facilities have been put into use so far.

During the analysis of the state of the agricultural sector, it was emphasized that during the period of state independence, the agricultural sector in the district developed year by year, and the production volume of its products increased from 9 million somoni in 2000 to 104 million somoni in 2023, that is, it increased by almost 12 times.

According to statistical data, the volume of production of industrial products in Ishkoshim district in 2023 was equal to 5.4 million somoni, which is one and a half times more than in 2000.

It was emphasized that during the 33 years of independence in Ishkoshim district, within the framework of state investment projects, 6 energy facilities were built and renovated in the amount of 105 million somoni and put into use.

President Emomali Rahmon set specific tasks for the executive authorities of the district to effectively use the tourism opportunities of the district and implement the Tourism Development Program of Ishkoshim district for 2024-2026.

During the speech, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, also analyzed the state of the education and health sectors, gave instructions for correcting the shortcomings and involving the younger generation in science and crafts.
