Side event of the Republic of Tajikistan on the sidelines of the 57th Session of the Human Rights Council

DUSHANBE, 03.10.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On October 2, 2024, a side event of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with Central Asian countries entitled “Human Rights and Right to Development” was held on the sidelines of the 57th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva.
The event was attended by representatives of the Member States of the Human Rights Council, international and regional organizations and experts of the field.
During his speech, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan Sharaf Sheralizoda emphasized that Tajikistan has taken a number of practical measures to improve the standard of living and education of people, with special emphasis on the adoption of the “National Strategy in the field of human rights protection for the period up to 2038” and the “National Action Plan for 2023-2025”, the declared 2024 the «Year of Legal Awareness» and the adoption of the law “On regulation of celebrations and ceremonies in the Republic of Tajikistan”, as well as talked about the Global initiatives of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of water and climate, which are aimed at the development of human rights in particular, the right to development.
