Tajikistan-Türkiye set to establish industrial park

DUSHANBE, 31.10.2024 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir met with Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Turkey Ahmet Berat Çorkar.
According to the Ministry, the meeting was held within the framework of the first International Mining and Metallurgical Forum and Industrial Exhibition of Tajikistan.
During the meeting it was noted that the parties have great opportunities to deepen cooperation within the framework of the provisions of the intergovernmental commission.
The parties noted the intentions of cooperation aimed at developing and deepening cooperation in the spheres of industry, including mining, chemical, construction, as well as in the field of new technologies.
Prospects for development of cooperation in the mining industry were discussed, in particular, the participation of major Turkish companies in geological works and mining of minerals in the territory of Tajikistan.
The Turkish side was invited to consider the possibility of creating an industrial park Tajikistan — Turkey to create a joint venture for the production of solar panels and solar inverters, organization of production of construction materials with the involvement of investment and qualified specialists from Turkey.
In general, the meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, the parties had a versatile discussion on the search for new ways of trade and economic cooperation.
