International Tourist Train “Jibek Joly” (“Silk Road”) to Arrive in Dushanbe for Navruz Festival

As part of the International Navruz Festival, scheduled from March 20 to 25, 2026, the international tourist train “Jibek Joly” (“Silk Road”) will operate along a route connecting Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. reports Khovar citing the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The train route will include the cities of Almaty, Turkestan, Samarkand, Dushanbe, and Tashkent, with a return journey to Almaty. Passengers aboard the “Jibek Joly” will have the opportunity to explore the rich culture, traditions, and musical heritage of the peoples of Central Asia.
The initiative to organize international tourist trains between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan was originally adopted at the end of 2024. In 2026, the project has been expanded for the first time to include Dushanbe, further strengthening cultural and tourism ties in the region.
