On December 30, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, sent a telegram of condolences to the President of the United States of America, Honorable Joseph Biden, which reads:

We are saddened by the news of the demise of former President of the United States of America James Earl Carter.
The deceased, with his fruitful work in the high office of President of the United States of America, earned special respect and honor within the country, and had a high reputation in the international arena as a recognised politician.
