Tajikistan and the EU Sign a Financing Agreement on the “Green” Transition Through the Creation of a Cotton Value Chain

DUSHANBE, 03.12.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Hokim Kholikzoda and the Ambassador of the European Union to Tajikistan Raimundas Karoblis signed a Financing Agreement on the «green» transition through the creation of a cotton value chain.”
In accordance with the provisions of the signed agreement, the EU will allocate grant funds to Tajikistan in the amount of €19,880,000 to stimulate the agricultural sector as a driving force for the development of a «green» economy and employment through digital technologies, creating favorable conditions for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and innovations in certain sectors.
