Representative of Tajikistan took part in the briefing on the results of COP29

DUSHANBE, 23.01.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On January 21, Counsellor of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Nations Hotam Qurbonzoda participated in and delivered a speech at the briefing on the outcomes of the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
The briefing was held at the initiative of the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the UN.
In his remarks, Qubonzoda provided information on the high-level events organized and hosted by Tajikistan within the framework of COP29 in Baku in November 2024.
Taking this opportunity, he once again invited Member States and other stakeholders to participate in the upcoming high-level events: the first observance of World Day for Glaciers and World Water Day (New York, March 21, 2025) and the High-Level International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation (Dushanbe, May 29–31, 2025).
