Commencement of the Official Visit of the Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda to Iran

DUSHANBE, 17.02.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The official visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda to the Islamic Republic of Iran began in Tehran today.
The official welcoming ceremony took place at the Sa’dobod Cultural and Creative Complex in Tehran.
Following the official reception ceremony, a meeting was held between Kohir Rasulzoda and the First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Mohammad Reza Aref, as well as a meeting of the delegations in an expanded format.
Tajik Prime Minister emphasized that Iran occupies a special place in the system of international relations of Tajikistan.
It was expressed satisfaction that this year, within the framework of the successful policy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Honorable Masoud Pezeshkian, the trade turnover between the two states is increasing, and relations in areas of interest are expanding significantly.
It was emphasized that the relations between the countries have historical and cultural content, the two peoples have a rich civilization and a similar language.
It was paid attention to expanding relations between Tajikistan and Iran in areas of mutual benefit to the parties.
During the meetings, the parties expressed satisfaction with the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two friendly countries and called for further development of multilateral cooperation in various areas.
It was noted that Tajikistan and Iran have ample opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of hydropower, mining, construction, food, pharmaceutical industry, transport, agriculture, trade and investment, and the effective use of these opportunities and resources can lay a real foundation for the development of intergovernmental cooperation in various fields.
The signing of new cooperation agreements during the state visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Tajikistan was assessed as a solid foundation for future intergovernmental relations.
During the meeting, it was expressed gratitude to the Iranian government for supporting the global initiatives of the Tajik side.
The meeting also focused on other issues of mutual interest.
