On March 16, the official visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon to the Russian Federation began with his arrival in Moscow.

An official welcoming ceremony for the distinguished guest, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, was held at Vnukovo-2 Airport in Moscow.

Our Head of State, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, was warmly and sincerely welcomed by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin and other high-ranking officials.

For a worthy welcome, the airport area was decorated with the state flags of the two countries, and the Honorary Guard Company of the Moscow Military Garrison and the Military Wind Orchestra lined up.

After the report of the Commander of the Honorary Guard Company to the distinguished guest, the national anthems of the two countries were played.

The official welcoming ceremony ended with the passing of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, past the honor guard, paying tribute to the State Flag of the Russian Federation, and the ceremonial passing of the guard of honor in front of the high-ranking guest.

Official high-level meetings and negotiations with the participation of the heads of the two states — His Excellency Emomali Rahmon and His Excellency Vladimir Putin, with the signing of a number of new cooperation documents, press statements, and other events, will be held on March 17 in the Kremlin Palace.
