DUSHANBE, 18.04.2025 /NIAT “Khovar”/. On April 18 within the framework of the events of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States in St. Petersburg of the Russian Federation the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the City of Dushanbe Rustami Emomali met with the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev.
At the meeting the current state and prospects of strategic and allied relations between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, as well as inter-parliamentary ties of the two states were discussed.
The state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Tajikistan in 2024 and the signing of the Treaty on Allied Relations between the two brotherly countries were named important events in the history of bilateral relations.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the process of steady development of political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.
In the course of the conversation, the sides discussed the prospects of strengthening cooperation between the two states in various sectors, including further strengthening of inter-parliamentary relations.
