Tajik-British Mining Forum Underway in London

DUSHANBE, 20.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The Tajik-British Mining Forum is currently underway in London, jointly organized by the governments of Tajikistan and the United Kingdom, according to the press service of the Main Department of Geology under the Government of Tajikistan.
The forum serves as a key platform for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the mining sector.
Representatives from Tajikistan’s Main Department of Geology and the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies are participating in the event.
The forum focuses on attracting investment, promoting knowledge exchange, and fostering cooperation across all stages of mineral extraction, laying the foundation for mutually beneficial partnerships.
Tajikistan’s rich mineral resources and investment opportunities in the extraction of precious and strategic minerals were highlighted during the forum.
Participants were introduced to advanced mining technologies and sustainable industry practices. The event also aims to enhance bilateral relations and expand economic, trade, and technical cooperation between Tajikistan and the UK.
Discussions included the adoption of international standards in geological reporting, the digitization of processes, and improvements in licensing procedures. Attendees also emphasized the importance of training opportunities and knowledge-sharing initiatives for local mining professionals.
