DUSHANBE, 27.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 27, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, inaugurated the new building of the Central Hospital of the district in the center of Shugnon district — the town of Vahdat, and got acquainted with the working conditions and services provided there.

The main building of the Central Hospital of Shugnon district consists of three floors and a basement, and has more than 75 rooms, including 55 rooms for hospitalization of patients with 45 beds, pediatric, intensive care, diagnostic, maternity, gynecological, surgical and other auxiliary facilities.

A corner of medicinal herbs has also been organized here, where drinks are prepared using flowers and herbs native to Tajikistan.

The hospital’s land area is 1 hectare, and the building area is 2,419 square meters.

The Central Hospital of Shugnon district was built with the funding of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to celebrate the great and historic celebrations of the 28th anniversary of National Unity and the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan for a sum of 13 million somoni.

Modern equipment and devices, including general surgery, digital X-ray, ultrasound diagnostic equipment, electrocardiography, and unique diagnostic and treatment equipment from developed countries of the world, were purchased and installed in this healthcare facility for a sum of more than 2 million somoni.

With the commissioning of the healthcare facility, the multi-year problem of access to modern medical services for the population of more than 14 thousand people of Shugnon district was eliminated.
