DUSHANBE, 25.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 25, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, opened the calcite, marble and decorative stone production enterprises of the Closed Joint-Stock Company “Marmar Stone” in Vanj district by lifting the curtain over the symbolic plaque.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, got acquainted with the production line and capabilities of the calcite production enterprise and had a cordial conversation with the employees.

It was reported that the calcite production enterprise has the capacity to produce 40 thousand tons of products per year.

The enterprise operates on the basis of local raw materials. It was built near a large reserve of white marble, from which microcalcite is produced.

According to the tests conducted, this local raw material is of high quality and meets international requirements.

The plant also uses waste from processed marble, meaning that the production process here is waste-free, which is considered one of the advantages of this plant.

The plant has four production lines and produces various types of microcalcite. Using modern technology, the newly established plant has been able to produce microcalcite from 2 to 500 microns. 40 local residents have been given permanent jobs here.

The newly established plant is able to fully meet the needs of the Tajik industry with microcalcite of various sizes. At the same time, the production of this plant is import-substituting and competitive in the market.

Based on the product reserves of the new plant, officials are trying to establish the manufacturing of final industrial products in the second stage.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that with the implementation of this goal, the total number of employees of the plant will be increased from local residents, and all of them will undergo retraining courses.

During his acquaintance with the activities of the enterprise, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon highly appreciated its activities and gave useful instructions and recommendations for the launch of exports of its products to other countries, the full provision of the country’s industrial needs with microcalcite, and the establishment of its export.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon put into operation the marble and decorative stone processing workshops adjacent to the calcite production enterprise and visited the exhibition of the final products.

Currently, taking into account the activities of all workshops, more than 100 local residents are employed, and in the future, as production volumes increase, the number of workers will be increased.

Processing raw materials and their delivery to the final product is considered an important issue in all sectors of the industry. In this regard, raw materials are supplied to the production enterprises of the CJSC «Marmar Stone» from the natural resources of Tajikistan, and after full processing, they are made available to customers. That is, by taking such an initiative, solid and effective steps will be taken to achieve the fourth national goal — accelerated industrialization of the country and the implementation of the provisions of the Industrial Development Strategy in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030.

The marble and ornamental stone processing plants are equipped with new-generation digital equipment, and the capacity for the production of ornamental stone slabs or so-called mosaics in the plants will be 10 thousand cubic meters, and the processing of marble stones will be 160 thousand cubic meters per year.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the enterprises of the “Marmar Stone” company are intended as a base for the production of export-oriented products, and also play an effective role in meeting domestic demand.

In order to organize the necessary infrastructure and create working conditions for the administration of these production plants, the road to the Poymazor mine, from the main road to the village of Poymazor in the Vanj district and to the Dashtak mine, has been leveled, expanded and restored, and the roads to the site of the plant have been completely renovated.

Regarding the power supply to the enterprise, a 35-kilowatt (kW) power line has been laid for a total distance of 27 km, which provides electricity to the enterprise and residents of 4 villages in Vanj district.

During his acquaintance with the complex of enterprises of the “Marmar Stone” company, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, expressed gratitude for the initiative of the initiators to coordinate and implement the country’s goals in the direction of industrial development, and assessed the use of domestic resources — existing raw materials in this context as beneficial.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, instructed those responsible to periodically meet domestic demand from their own sources and contribute to further improving the level of well-being of the people.
