DUSHANBE, 26.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 26, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with leaders and activists of the district after the inauguration of a number of facilities in the Roshtqal’a district.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, summed up the working visit to the Roshtqal’a district and set specific tasks for the implementation of the instructions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to the leadership of the Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Province and the district.
The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, discussed the inauguration of a number of important facilities of economic and social importance, calling the launch of the Sebzor hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of 11 megawatts an important event of this visit.
It was noted that according to the construction and development plan, 206 production and social facilities are planned to be built and renovated in the Roshtqal’a district to celebrate the 35th anniversary of state independence, and work has been completed on 124 of them to date.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, recalled the support of the Government of the country during the period of independence to solve the socio-economic problems of the Roshtqal’a district and ensure its development, noting that more than 2 billion somoni have been allocated from all sources of financing. During this period, 545 million somoni have been allocated from the state budget, including more than 320 million somoni in targeted funds to cover the expenses of the district budget.
It was noted that to date, 11 state investment projects worth 60 million somoni have been implemented in the district for the construction, repair and equipping of educational and medical institutions, reconstruction of roads, increasing the capacity of electricity generation and transmission, development of agriculture and support for peasant farms, strengthening the coast and preventing damage from natural disasters. Currently, the implementation of 6 more projects worth 724 million somoni is ongoing.
Due to the availability of unused resources and opportunities in the district, especially in the processing of decorative and construction stones, agricultural products, and on this basis, the establishment of the production of various consumer products and the development of folk crafts, the relevant ministries, departments, and executive bodies of state power were tasked with taking the necessary measures to use the existing opportunities for the development of industry by establishing factories and production enterprises.
