DUSHANBE, 25.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 25, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, opened a sports hall in the village of Ubari Dargov, Mahmadullo Abdulloev rural community, Vanj district.

The sports facility was built to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the infrastructure has been prepared for sports enthusiasts to practice and train.

The total area of the sports facility is 615 square meters and consists of the main hall, table tennis, administration rooms, changing rooms and other auxiliary facilities.

The construction of sports facilities in Vanj district is considered a logical continuation of the sports-supporting policy of the Government of the country.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that in order to develop the sports sector and implement state programs and strategies in this direction, the construction of sports facilities in other remote regions of the district is planned, and work is currently underway in this direction.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, highly appreciated the quality of the foundation works and considered the construction of the sectoral facilities useful in providing infrastructure and improving it.

It should be said that the contribution of the athletes of the district to the development of the sector and the presentation of the Tajik state and nation on the world stage is indisputable.

Here, the Head of State had a sincere conversation with the athletes.

The wrestlers of the district, in turn, expressed gratitude to the Leader of the Nation for providing good training opportunities and promised that they would make their due contribution to the presentation of the state and the development of sports in the country by participating in world-class competitions.

Currently, more than 40 facilities are operating in the Vanj district, including sports halls at educational institutions, where teenagers and young people are involved in various sports.

Every year, athletes of the district participate in national and international competitions and return to their homeland with significant achievements, which is a source of pride and honor.
