DUSHANBE, 27.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 27, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, visited the agricultural demonstration plot in the village of Pashor, Porshinev rural community, Shugnon district.

The Head of State was informed that the agricultural demonstration plot was established on an area of 4 hectares of fallow land, and on an area of 1.5 hectares, seedlings of apricot, peach, plum, pear, cherry, short and medium-sized apple trees were planted, and on another hectare — a walnut tree sapling.

Potatoes, carrots, corn and other crops adapted to the climate of the region are grown between the rows of garden trees.

Onions, red and white beets have been experimentally planted on one hectare of land, which is growing well.

All types of agricultural crops are grown in compliance with agrotechnical standards. The selected crops are sown in the last decade of April according to the experiment, and according to their characteristics, they should be harvested in the end of August.

The purpose of this experiment is to select and adapt agricultural crops to the local climate, introduce modern practices, rational use of land and provide as many people as possible with food products of their own production, and generally take measures to ensure food security.

Here, the Head of State visited a fish breeding pond built on an area of 20 acres of the land. As it turned out, 
 fish such as carp and white carp have been bred in it.
