Tajikistan Participates in 73rd Session of Conference of European Statisticians in Geneva

DUSHANBE, 18.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The delegation of Tajikistan, headed by the Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda, took part in the 73rd Session of the Conference of European Statisticians, held on 16 June in Geneva under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
According to the Embassy oof Tajikistan in the Swiss Confederation, during the session Nurmahmadzoda delivered a statement outlining Tajikistan’s key achievements in the field of national statistics, as well as current initiatives and future plans to further develop the statistical system of the country.
He also highlighted the results of a recent Global Assessment of the national statistical system conducted by international experts. The evaluation and its recommendations were recognized as a valuable contribution to the design and implementation of strategic plans for strengthening Tajikistan’s statistical capacities in line with international standards.
The Conference of European Statisticians serves as an important multilateral platform for sharing best practices and enhancing regional and global cooperation in the field of statistics.
