Tajikistan’s Justice Minister Participates in CIS Council of Justice Ministers Meeting in Minsk

DUSHANBE, 26.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The 19th session of the Council of Justice Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held in Minsk, Belarus, with the participation of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan, Muzaffar Ashuriyon.
In his address, Minister Ashuriyon highlighted Tajikistan’s achievements in the digitalization of public services, particularly in the improvement of civil registration services (ZAGS).
He emphasized that the comprehensive development of digital technologies, especially modern ICT solutions, is a fundamental driver of sustainable economic growth and enhances the international competitiveness of Tajikistan. In this regard, the country is taking consistent steps toward providing high-quality public services through the implementation of the “e-Government” system.
During the meeting, the CIS Council of Justice Ministers adopted several key documents, including:
- The Concept for the Creation of a Unified Electronic Information Exchange System among justice ministries of CIS member states;
- The Action Plan for Preparing and Declaring 2027 as the “Year of Legal Education in the CIS”;
- The Main Activities Plan for the CIS Council of Justice Ministers for 2026.
The meeting underscored the importance of coordinated efforts to modernize legal infrastructure, expand digital legal services, and foster deeper legal cooperation among CIS countries.
