President Emomali Rahmon Visits Moghiyon-Agro Greenhouse in Panjakent

DUSHANBE, 11.07.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On July 11, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, visited the Khalifa Hasan village of the city of Panjakent to get acquainted with the activities of the Moghiyon-Agro greenhouse.
The greenhouse was built on the instructions of the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, by entrepreneur Murodkul Yusufov, and is a good example of land use in terms of planting, growing, obtaining a bountiful harvest, and ensuring the enrichment of the consumer market.
The area of the greenhouse is one hectare, and tomatoes, bell peppers, strawberries, lemons, cauliflower, cucumbers, and other types of vegetables are grown in it in a modern way.
The technological lines are designed in South Korea and manufactured in China, and vegetable irrigation is carried out using the drip method. This process differs from previous cases by reducing the need for irrigation water by up to four times.
The agricultural technology of planting and growing vegetables is carried out by 23 local residents in accordance with the requirements. Obtaining up to 50 tons of products per year testifies to the experience of hardworking people in the agricultural sector.
The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, highly appreciated the creative efforts of the entrepreneur and gave recommendations for increasing production volumes, creating additional jobs, and providing the consumer market with environmentally friendly vegetables.
Here, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, visited an exhibition of agricultural products.
Farmers, expressing their happiness at using state benefits and support, presented excellent samples of agricultural crops, including grains, legumes, and fruits and vegetables to the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon.
The area of agricultural land in the city of Panjakent is 11 thousand hectares, and farmers, taking advantage of favorable conditions and climate, achieve a good harvest every year.
The total production of agricultural products in the first five months of 2025 will be close to 120 million somoni, an increase of 16.1% compared to the same period last year.
The issues of organizing greenhouses and ensuring a constant supply of vegetables to residents in Panjakent city are receiving special attention.
The construction of 85 greenhouses in 2024 brought the number of greenhouses in Panjakent to 110.
The development of the consumer market is also closely related to the operation of cold stores. There are 27 cold stores in Panjakent city that can store 5,386 tons of fruits and vegetables.
The area of gardens and vineyards is 3,439 hectares, and this indicator is growing. 19 water pumping stations in Panjakent city serve to expand the area of gardens and the development of the agricultural sector as a whole.
