DUSHANBE, 19.08.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On August 19, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of the city of Dushanbe, Honorable Rustam Emomali, inaugurated a new building of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in Dushanbe in the Sino district of the capital.

The new main building of the Department, consisting of four sections and 10 floors, was built on an area of about two hectares in accordance with the requirements of the activities of the police authorities and taking into account elements of national architecture, and it has a modern design.

This facility was built at the expense of the budget of the Executive Body of State Power of the city of Dushanbe.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the newly built building has a complete infrastructure and extensive capabilities, including 246 office and auxiliary rooms, a main conference hall with 346 seats, a small conference hall with 40 seats, a dormitory with 290 beds, a canteen for 178 people at a time, a gym for physical training, as well as sports fields for mini-football, volleyball, and other sports.

A historical museum has been established on the first floor of this building, which reflects the valuable contributions and services of the capital’s police officers with exhibits, photographs and important and rare documents.

It was emphasized that with the commissioning of the new building, police officers have been provided with modern search and operational equipment and supplies, which will play an important role in strengthening the rule of law, combating crime and ensuring public order in the capital.

The new building of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Dushanbe, in continuation of the improvement and construction works, has been erected in anticipation of the 35th anniversary of state independence with the constructive initiatives of the Chairman of the city of Dushanbe, Rustam Emomali, and has not only provided modern working conditions for employees of the internal affairs bodies, but also added beauty to the image of the city with its more beautiful and attractive appearance.

During the introduction to the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, the construction project of the “Durakhshandagon” Lyceum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan for 640 students with a modern dormitory for 260 people was presented.

This initiative is considered an expression of the special attention of the state to the development of science and education, the upbringing of a knowledgeable generation, and the strengthening of the structural foundations of the law enforcement agencies.

The building and its surroundings have been completely paved, and various rare ornamental trees have been planted on an area of more than 3,200 square meters, which add beauty and freshness to the environment.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, while familiarizing himself with the created conditions, highly appreciated the construction and equipment works and demanded that the officials and employees of the capital’s police authorities use the opportunities provided to serve faithfully and set an example in protecting law and public order as well as ensuring security and stability.
