DUSHANBE, 23.08.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On August 23, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received the Director General of the Qatar Fund for Development, Fahad Hamad Al-Sulaiti, and a delegation of Qatari banks.
The meeting discussed issues related to the current state and expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and Qatar and its economic and banking institutions.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, recalling Tajikistan’s special interest in strengthening and expanding friendly relations and beneficial cooperation with this country, emphasized: “We consider Qatar to be one of the influential countries in the Arab world and our important partner.”
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the growth of beneficial cooperation between the two friendly countries.
During the meeting, interesting ideas and proposals were discussed on ways to expand trade and economic cooperation and mutually rewarding investment in the fields of energy, industry, transport, agriculture, irrigation, mining and processing of minerals, and other issues of mutual interest.
