Tajik, Russian presidents discuss results of Russia – United States Summit in Anchorage by phone

DUSHANBE, 18.08.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On August 18, a telephone conversation was held between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Russian Federation, Honorable Vladimir Putin.
During the conversation, the heads of state discussed topical issues of the international agenda and individual aspects of bilateral relations.
Stressing the special political significance of the results of the talks between the Presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States of America in Alaska for reducing tensions and strengthening mutual understanding in the international arena, the Leader of the Nation supported the peaceful process of resolving the Ukrainian crisis.
During the conversation, an exchange of views was also held on current issues of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia, which are of interest to both sides.
The sides agreed to continue dialogue and contacts at the highest level.
