DUSHANBE, 30.09.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 30, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, inaugurated the Food Safety Center in the Fayzobod district.

This facility consists of three floors and has 8 office rooms, a conference room, a hotel, and other auxiliary facilities.

With the commissioning of the new building, 14 specialists will work in spacious and well-equipped offices and provide services to the population.

Construction work on the center building began in 2023 and was built by the Osmon-Sokhtmon Limited Liability Company with high quality.

Employees and specialists of the Food Safety Center in Fayzobod district expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the attention and support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for creating decent working conditions.

The construction of a modern service building and the organization of a modern laboratory will allow ensuring food safety, preventing all infectious diseases, and protecting public health.

The daily activities of the center’s specialists are focused on four areas — phytosanitary, legislative, veterinary, and quarantine.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, while familiarizing himself with the working conditions at the Food Safety Center, drew the attention of officials to ensuring food safety, constant monitoring and safety of consumer products, which are considered an important condition for people’s health, and gave useful advice to specialists in the field for better implementation of their activities in the future.

The newly built facility was built as part of preparations for the glorious national holiday — the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan to ensure food safety, protect public health, and create decent working conditions for employees in the field.

The courtyard of the Food Safety Center in Fayzobod district has been decorated and landscaped with various seasonal flowers and shrubs.
