DUSHANBE, 30.09.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 30, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, inaugurated the State Flag square in the center of Fayzobod district.
First, the State Flag was raised with the sound of the National Anthem.
The State Flag Square was built in a modern style and with elements of national architecture. This structure was built with the aim of strengthening self-awareness and raising the sense of patriotism of residents, and is considered a symbol of national unity and pride.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the height of the flagpole of the State Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan is 55 meters, the length of the cloth is 14 meters, and its width is 7 meters.
Also, in the national sacred square, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, unveiled the statue of the founder of the first Tajik state – Shah Ismoil Somoni.
The height of the monument to Shah Ismoil Somoni is 7 meters and its base is 5 meters.
This structure was built with the funding of the Executive Body of State Power of Fayzobod district and the contribution of domestic entrepreneurs on a total area of 46 acres.
This event was carried out as part of preparations for a worthy welcome to the great and sacred national holiday — 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The erection of the monument to the founder of the Tajik state, Shah Ismoil Somoni, and the State Flag in the center of Fayzobod district adds another beauty to the national sacred square, and is a testament to the promotion and preservation of national values, as well as respect for the proud history and culture of the Tajiks.
During the acquaintance, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, highly appreciated the work done and considered the construction of a new structure in the center of the district an exemplary step in the direction of appreciating historical figures of the Tajik nation.
From now on, the National Flag Square will become one of the main venues for holding state and national celebrations and events, and it will also provide convenient opportunities for residents to relax and entertain.
