DUSHANBE, 04.09.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 4, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, sent a telegram of condolences to the President of the Republic of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, which reads:
«Your Excellency,
It was with deep sorrow that we learned the news about the tragic accident that led to numerous deaths and injuries as a result of the derailment of a funicular railway in the friendly Republic of Portugal.
In connection with this sad incident, I express my sincere condolences and sympathy to you, the families and relatives of the victims, and the entire Portuguese people. I wish a full recovery to all those injured.»
