President Emomali Rahmon visits the nursery farm, exhibition of agricultural products and replanting campaign in Vahdat

DUSHANBE, 26.09.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 6, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, during a working visit to the city of Vahdat in the village of Rajab Ismoilov, got acquainted with the growth of trees at the nursery farm, an exhibition of agricultural products, and the campaign of replanting.
This nursery farm was established under the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan with the aim of implementing the “State Greening Program for the period up to 2040”.
During the acquaintance, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the total area of the nursery farm is 5 hectares, where more than 25 thousand shrubs and various evergreen, shade and ornamental trees are grown.
Currently, the cultivation of rare species of plants and trees, including sequoia, juniper, birch, paulownia, juniper, magnolia, fir, oak, and pine, in a total of 20 species adapted to the climate, has been established using modern innovative methods.
At the same time, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, planted a rare ornamental sequoia tree in a corner of the nursery farm to improve environmental protection and promote planting.
During a conversation with specialists, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, gave useful recommendations for increasing the number of rare ornamental tree species and providing cities and districts with this type of tree.
After getting acquainted with the growth of trees here, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, visited an exhibition of agricultural products and national breads and foods.
In all forms of agriculture, Vahdat city has 19,470 hectares of cultivated land, of which 6,460 hectares are orchards and vineyards.
The city’s dehkans displayed fresh vegetables, legumes, and fruits, including potatoes, onions, carrots, cabbage, watermelons, melons, apples, and grapes, in beautiful forms and styles. All this is the fruit of the hard work of dehkans and testifies to the abundance and prosperity of our heavenly country.
At the same time, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, visited the replanting campaign on the lands of the farms of Barot Abdurahimov and Abdurauf Rajabov.
