President Emomali Rahmon meets with Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan

On October 10, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Honorable Nikol Pashinyan as part of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
At the meeting, issues of cooperation between the two countries were discussed.
The President of our country, Emomali Rahmon, stated: «We attach great importance to strengthening cooperation with the Republic of Armenia and are interested in its progress in all areas.»
It was emphasized that the legal framework for relations covers important areas and allows for the realization of the two countries’ potential in sectors of mutual interest.
Much attention was paid to developing cooperation in trade, investment, green energy, and industry, including industrial cooperation.
The need to intensify the work of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was recognized.
Other topics discussed included increasing trade turnover, expanding mutual trade using existing opportunities, and organizing and holding trade forums.
Special attention was paid to developing interparliamentary dialogue.
An exchange of views also took place on developing cooperation in culture, education, youth policy, and tourism.
Furthermore, productive discussions took place on cooperation within international and regional organizations, particularly the United Nations, and support for each other’s global initiatives.
