President Emomali Rahmon meets with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev

On October 9, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honorable Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on the sidelines of the Central Asia-Russia Summit and the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, noted that Kazakhstan is one of Tajikistan’s important partners, expressing his readiness to further develop strategic and allied cooperation between the two countries.
The importance of the Alliance Treaty, which opens up new opportunities for the comprehensive development of cooperation between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, was stressed.
It was noted that mutual trade turnover in the first half of 2025 amounted to $670 million, confirming Kazakhstan’s leading position among Tajikistan’s trading partners.
In this context, interest was voiced in further increasing mutual trade, expanding the range of export-import products, and intensifying the activities of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
Considerable attention was paid to developing cooperation in energy, industry, investment, and the introduction of new technologies, including green ones.
The parties also discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, including education and culture.
The parties also exchanged views on further interaction within regional and international organizations
