President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon expresses satisfaction with the dynamic development of cooperation with Qatar

On October 14, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received the Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs of the State of Qatar, Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, on the sidelines of the “Dushanbe Invest — 2025” Forum.
The President of the country, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, expressed satisfaction with the development of cooperative relations between Tajikistan and Qatar.
Much attention was paid to the implementation of 42 cooperation documents covering the economic, trade and technical sectors, promotion and protection of mutual investments, air transport, culture, healthcare, tourism, and other areas of mutual interest.
The expansion of practical cooperation between the business circles of the two sides was welcomed.
The attraction of grant funds and preferential loans from Qatari funds and financial institutions for the implementation of projects of national and regional importance, including in the energy sector, was considered appropriate.
The activities of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission for the Development of Bilateral Cooperation and the establishment of a “Joint Economic and Investment Fund” between the two friendly countries were among the important topics of discussion.
Attention was also paid to the issue of expanding cooperation in the field of transport, including the opening of air routes.
Readiness was expressed to implement and study Qatar’s experience in the Islamic banking system.
A fruitful discussion was also held on other issues of interest.
