On the sidelines of the regular session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Bishkek, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with the President of the Russian Federation, Honorable Vladimir Putin.
The meeting discussed issues related to the multifaceted cooperation of the two countries.
It was noted with satisfaction that cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia on the basis of strategic partnership and alliance is steadily developing.
Great attention was paid to strengthening cooperation in the joint fight against threats of the modern world, such as terrorism and extremism, and cross-border crimes related to drug trafficking and cybercrime.
The need to expand trade and economic cooperation, investment, and ties between the regions of the two countries was also discussed.
The importance of strengthening cooperation in the fields of education, culture, and other humanitarian sectors was stressed.
A fruitful discussion was also held on specific topics of regional and international agenda.
