President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the heads of parliamentary delegations of the CIS member states

At the Palace of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received the heads of parliamentary delegations of the CIS member states, who arrived in Tajikistan to participate in the work of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, emphasized that the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly is an important platform for comprehensive and constructive dialogue between the CIS member states, within the framework of which a lot of comprehensive work is currently being carried out.
“The activities of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, along with the formation and harmonization of the legislation of the participating states, cover several other key areas of cooperation, including in the political, security, economic, and socio-humanitarian sectors,” — said the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon. The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, also noted that there are abundant opportunities and resources in these areas, and we need to use them effectively for the benefit of our peoples.
The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, recalled the high-level events held by Tajikistan during its chairmanship in the CIS, including the Summit of the CIS Heads of State, the Second Meeting of the Heads of State in the “Central Asia-Russia” format, which was held in Dushanbe in October of this year.
According to Emomali Rahmon, during the chairmanship of Tajikistan in the CIS, more than a hundred multi-level events were held, including the meeting of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, which is currently being held in the capital of Tajikistan — Dushanbe.
Satisfaction was expressed with the process of developing inter-parliamentary cooperation of the CIS member states at all levels. Tajikistan’s readiness and interest to continue joint cooperation within other structures of inter-parliamentary relations was stressed, including the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS, and other structures.
In his speech, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon called on the leaders of the parliaments of the CIS member states to further strengthen interstate cooperation in all areas, including in combating such modern threats as terrorism and extremism, religious extremism, cyber threats, drug trafficking, and other manifestations of cross-border crime.
