First Consular Consultations Between Tajikistan and Egypt Held in Cairo

On 28 January 2026, the first consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt were held in Cairo.
The Tajik delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Farrukh Sharifzoda, while the Egyptian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Haddod Al-Jawhari.
During the consultations, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to consular relations and bilateral cooperation. As a result of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on the mutual exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports was signed between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
