Tajikistan Discusses WTO Commitments and Ministerial Conference Preparations

On February 17, 2026, the Ambassador/Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva, Mr. Sharaf Sheralizoda, met with the Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, reports Khovar citing Foreign Ministry of the country.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the organization, including achievements during the period of membership, progress in implementing undertaken commitments, the country’s participation in the multilateral trading system, preparations for the 14th WTO Ministerial Conference, participation in the 4th Dushanbe International Water Conference, and prospects for further strengthening cooperation.
