DUSHANBE, 26.03.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – On March 26, within the framework of the state visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in Tashkent, in a solemn atmosphere, by lifting the curtain from the symbolic plaque, inaugurated the modern and well-designed building of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In honor of the opening of the embassy building and the visit of the Heads of State, the national anthems of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan were played.
After the opening of the new embassy building, the State Flag of Tajikistan was raised.
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited the embassy complex and signed the guest book with good wishes and intentions for the deepening of friendly, brotherly, and neighborly relations between the two countries.
It is noteworthy that diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan were established on October 22, 1992.
The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan operates in Dushanbe.
We remind that the new building of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Dushanbe was opened on April 19, 2024, by the Heads of the two states, Honorable Emomali Rahmon and Honorable Shavkat Mirziyoyev, within the framework of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
