Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoyev Launch Joint Tajik-Uzbek Industrial Projects

In the hall of the «Kuksaroy» Palace, within the framework of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Heads of State Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the ceremony of the start of construction and opening of a number of facilities in the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
By order and permission of the Heads of State, the foundation was laid for the start of construction work at 7 facilities in Tajikistan, such as the expansion of the Artel household appliances production line, the construction of a medical clinic called Shox Med in Dushanbe, the establishment of a textile cluster, the construction of a modern fruit processing line, the production of medical solutions, and the launch of a project for the production of furniture and industrial equipment in the Sughd Province.
Also, at this ceremony, the Heads of State approved the opening and start of construction of joint facilities, including a project for milk processing and cheese production, juice production, naming one of the streets of the new Tashkent “Dushanbe”, the construction of a modern high-rise residential complex, and the establishment of canned food production in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In total, during the virtual ceremony, official approval was given for the implementation of 12 projects and the construction of facilities. It was reported that the cost of 7 facilities to be built in Tajikistan is 98 million US dollars, and 5 projects to be implemented in Uzbekistan is 63.2 million US dollars.
It is worth noting that these projects will contribute to the creation of new jobs for citizens.
