Emomali Rahmon Calls for Strengthening Patriotism Among Youth at Navruz Celebration

“We must make full use of existing opportunities to educate adolescents and young people in the spirit of patriotism, love for the Motherland, self-awareness and national pride,” President Emomali Rahmon said during celebrations of the International Day of Nowruz in the Matcha district of Sughd region.
He emphasized that children, as the future of the nation, should have a strong sense of national identity and be well-versed in the Tajik language, history, culture, customs and traditions, as well as national values and state symbols, including those associated with Nowruz. He called for preserving and promoting these traditions.
He also stressed that, amid complex global conditions, ensuring state and public security, peace and stability, and national unity remains a top priority. He expressed confidence in the patriotism and civic responsibility of residents of Sughd region and the Matcha district.
The president voiced optimism that by the 35th anniversary of state independence, the region would achieve further progress in development and improvement efforts.
