Officials from Tajikistan and South Korea discussed expanding bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors, including economic development, healthcare and green energy, according to the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Tajikistan.
The talks took place between Khayriddin Usmonzoda and Jeong Sung-shik.
According to the Center, the sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation and preparing for the 3rd Forum of Think Tanks of the Republic of Korea and Central Asian countries, which is scheduled to be held in June in Dushanbe.
The upcoming forum, organized jointly by the Tajik side and South Korean partners, is expected to bring together experts and analysts from across the region to explore avenues for deeper collaboration.
Officials also discussed plans for a joint seminar to be conducted in partnership with the Center for Strategic Studies.
Beyond institutional cooperation, the discussions covered broader areas of engagement, including healthcare, culture and economic ties. Tajik officials highlighted the country’s water resources, renewable energy potential and agricultural sector as key areas for future collaboration, noting that increased cooperation with South Korea could yield practical development outcomes.
