On June 23, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Rustami Emomali, launched the construction of a Cement Production Plant in Varzob District.

It is noteworthy that the decision to build a new cement plant, within the framework of implementing the instructions of the Head of State, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, was made at a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on May 28, 2026, which approved the construction of four new cement plants with a total annual production capacity of 6 million tons.

Accordingly, Dushanbe Cement Limited Liability Company decided to construct and commission a new cement production plant in the southern part of Kharangoni Bolo village on an area of 18 hectares within 17 months.

During the presentation of the project, it was reported that the plant will have a production capacity of 3,300 tons per day and 1.2 million tons of cement per year. The production process will cover all stages, from crushing raw materials to packaging the final product.

During the construction phase, more than 1,150 local residents and foreign specialists will be employed in seasonal work, and after the plant is commissioned, more than 1,000 new jobs will be created for citizens.

The investor and developer of the plant is Dushanbe Cement Limited Liability Company. Taking into account the modern production technologies and raw materials to be used, the cement produced by the plant will fully comply with European and international norms and standards.

The plant is planned to be constructed near the limestone, magnetite, and Kharangon clay deposits located in the area, while the construction work, import of machinery, technology, equipment, and other necessary supplies will be carried out entirely through domestic investment.

It should be noted that all production equipment and facilities will comply with international standards, and environmental regulations and safety requirements will be observed throughout the production process.

The design, supply, installation, commissioning, and operation of all equipment will be carried out in accordance with the contract between Dushanbe Cement Limited Liability Company of the Republic of Tajikistan and SINOMA Company of the People’s Republic of China.

It should be noted that SINOMA is China’s largest state-owned corporation specializing in cement engineering and international industrial projects.
