Distinguished representatives of the media,

First of all, I would like once again to welcome the visit of the Honorable Prime Minister, Mr. Kobakhidze, and the high-level Georgian delegation to Tajikistan.

We consider today’s meeting and negotiations a valuable opportunity to discuss the friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between our two countries.

I am confident that the comprehensive implementation of the agreements reached during this visit will contribute to enriching our partnership with new dimensions of cooperation.

Today, we held detailed discussions on the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations.

At the same time, we exchanged views on pressing issues of the international and regional agenda.

Within the framework of the Honorable Prime Minister’s official visit, a substantial package of bilateral documents was signed, which will further strengthen the legal foundation of cooperation between our two countries.

These documents cover such areas as civil aviation, agriculture, tourism, science and education, culture, sports, climate change, and other fields of mutual interest.

During our discussions, we emphasized the importance of intensifying political dialogue and expanding contacts at various levels.

We also considered it appropriate to strengthen inter-parliamentary relations and enhance the role of parliamentary diplomacy in advancing bilateral cooperation.

Trade and economic cooperation were at the center of our negotiations.

We expressed our shared interest in enriching the economic dimension of bilateral relations through concrete and practical measures.

In this regard, it was emphasized that both countries possess the necessary opportunities and capabilities to effectively advance this process by capitalizing on the competitive advantages of their respective economies.

The implementation of joint investment projects, the establishment of production chains, and the development of e-commerce were identified as particularly promising areas of cooperation.

It should also be noted that Tajikistan is interested in expanding cooperation in various sectors of the green economy, industry, and technological innovation, including artificial intelligence.

In this context, we expressed our readiness to initiate practical cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Light industry, food production, mining and processing, pharmaceuticals, and agro-industry were identified as priority sectors for such cooperation.

We also supported the expansion of relations in the fields of transport and transit, agriculture, tourism, and healthcare.

Today, an Agreement on the Establishment of a Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was signed between our countries.

We believe that the activities of this Commission will provide comprehensive support for the implementation of practical measures aimed at advancing the aforementioned and other areas of bilateral cooperation.

Particular attention was devoted to expanding cultural and humanitarian ties as an important element in strengthening the traditions of friendship and mutual understanding between our peoples.

In this regard, we welcomed the intensification of cooperation in education, science, culture, youth affairs, and sports.

It is also worth noting that, within the framework of the Prime Minister’s visit, a ceremony will be held in Dushanbe to unveil a bust of the renowned poet and writer of classical Georgian literature, Shota Rustaveli, on the street bearing his name.

We regard this cultural event as an important step toward further strengthening the bonds of friendship between our two countries.

During the talks, we expressed satisfaction with the constructive dialogue and cooperation between our countries within multilateral institutions.

In this context, we emphasized that continuing the positive experience of cooperation in the international arena, particularly within the United Nations and its specialized agencies, serves the interests of both countries.

Tajikistan highly values its cooperation with Georgia on contemporary international issues, including the promotion of the global water and climate agenda.

We underscored the importance of joint efforts to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change on the environment.

In discussing security issues, particular attention was given to strengthening effective cooperation in countering contemporary threats and challenges.

In conclusion, I would like to emphasize that the agreements reached during today’s meetings have outlined clear prospects for the further development of relations between our countries.

Tajikistan regards the results of these negotiations, which were held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and constructive dialogue, as an important impetus for expanding bilateral cooperation across all sectors.

I am confident that the initiatives discussed today will form a solid foundation for the long-term development of relations between our two countries.

Finally, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the invitation to visit Georgia. I will be pleased to accept this invitation at an appropriate time.
