Tajikistan Reaffirms Commitment to Green Cooperation at OECD Meeting in Paris

Representatives of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s Green Action Working Group met in Paris on June 15–16 to discuss green economic development, climate adaptation and environmental policy implementation.
Tajikistan was represented by Loik Rahmonzoda, deputy chairman of the Committee on Environmental Protection. In his remarks, Rahmonzoda reaffirmed Tajikistan’s interest in actively participating in the OECD’s analytical work and expressed the country’s readiness to strengthen cooperation on financing environmental initiatives.
Participants discussed measures to promote a green economy, improve the efficiency of natural resource use and enhance adaptation to climate change. The meeting also focused on attracting investment for environmental projects and expanding international partnerships in support of sustainable development.
