Tajikistan, World Bank Discuss Rogun Hydropower Financing in Vienna

Financing for Tajikistan’s strategic Rogun Hydroelectric Power Plant project was discussed on June 23 during talks between Tajik Finance Minister Fayziddin Qahhorzoda and World Bank Executive Director for Operations Anna Burde, the ministry said.
The meeting took place in Vienna and focused on the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the World Bank, according to the ministry.
The Tajik side expressed gratitude to Burde for continued support of key development projects, particularly in the energy, transport and agriculture sectors.
