On July 12, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, sent a telegram of condolences to the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, which read:

“Your Excellency,

The news of the passing away of the father of the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has caused us deep sorrow and grief.

We pay tribute to the late personality as an outstanding political figure and statesman and highly appreciate his worthy contribution to the development of friendly relations and constructive cooperation between Tajikistan and Qatar.

In connection with this heavy loss, I express my sincere condolences and sympathy to you, your family, and all the brotherly people of Qatar.

May God grant the deceased his mercy and grant his relatives and family patience.
