On August 29, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, sent a telegram of condolences to the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, Honorable Ram Chandra Paudel, which read:

“Dear Mr. President,

The news of the numerous loss of life, injuries to a large number of people, and destruction caused by landslides and floods in the north-eastern regions of Nepal has caused us deep sorrow.

In connection with the tragic consequences of these natural disasters, I express my sincere condolences and sympathy to you, the families and relatives of the deceased, and the friendly people of Nepal. I wish a full recovery to all those injured.”
