On September 21, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, officially inaugurated the production operations of the Adrasmon Mining and Processing Industrial Complex in the city of Guliston.

It is worth noting that the Adrasmon Mining and Processing Plant is one of the enterprises with a long history, having faced major challenges throughout its operations. During the period of Tajikistan’s independence, timely measures were taken to address existing problems, resume operations, and restore the activities of this major industrial enterprise.

As part of these measures, and with the aim of restoring and further developing production capacity, an investment agreement was implemented between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and ASIM Limited Liability Company, based on a decision of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated July 31, 2025. The agreement concerns the restoration and expansion of the production capacity of the Adrasmon Mining and Processing Plant, a joint-stock company.

Once full production capacity is reached, more than 1,000 specialists will be employed.

President Emomali Rahmon was informed that the annual production capacity for extracting lead and silver ore is 2 million tons. According to the project specifications, production is expected to reach up to 200 tons of silver and 20,000 tons of lead.

Over a period of approximately one and a half years, a mining processing plant was completely rebuilt near the mine and equipped with modern production machinery from renowned companies in Sweden, Finland, and China.

Today, the enterprise operates three ore-crushing workshops, a grinding workshop, a flotation section, a thickening unit, and industrial filter presses. All major stages of ore processing have been organized using modern technologies.

Equipment adjustment and commissioning have been completed, and the production of the first experimental product—lead and silver concentrate—has begun.

Alongside the construction of production facilities, due attention has also been paid to restoring the enterprise’s infrastructure. Dormitories, a sanatorium, hotel complexes, administrative buildings, and other facilities associated with the enterprise have undergone major repairs and modernization.

To provide comfortable conditions for visitors and tourists coming to the Adrasmon settlement, the modern Simin Hotel, featuring 12 rooms, has been constructed and equipped with the necessary facilities for rest and recreation.

For transporting ore-processing waste from the plant to Tailings Storage Facility No. 2 and for the reuse of technical water, two pipelines with a diameter of 377 millimeters and a length of 4,400 meters each have been installed.

To ensure a reliable electricity supply for the enterprise, a 35/10 kV high-voltage substation equipped with two 16,000-kilowatt transformers and modern equipment was constructed and commissioned. In addition, more than 15 kilometers of high-voltage power lines were installed on concrete poles, and the conductors of the electricity transmission lines were completely replaced.

To increase mining capacity, Transport Tunnel No. 2 was excavated over a distance of more than two kilometers. It was reinforced using shotcrete, and its transport routes were paved with concrete.

It should be noted that the suspension of financing and the shutdown of the mines in 2013 had a serious impact on the production infrastructure. As a result, the tunnels of the Mansuri Sharqi Mine and Transport Tunnel No. 1 were flooded, while much of the production equipment and machinery became unusable for further operations.

The surface equipment had also deteriorated due to exposure to natural factors and years of disuse. However, as part of the restoration of the enterprise, the old underground equipment has now been completely replaced with modern machinery and mechanisms.

At the same time, necessary measures have been implemented to improve living conditions for the residents of the Adrasmon settlement. A water-pumping unit and vacuum electrical equipment were purchased and installed at the Dreshsoy pumping station and handed over to the Adrasmon State Housing and Communal Services Enterprise.

To supply the enterprise with industrial and drinking water, 11 vertical wells were drilled and commissioned. At the Qaromazor pumping station, the foundations for the pumping units were also fully reconstructed and repaired, and new water pumps were installed.

The buildings and production facilities of the mining sections and auxiliary workshops have also undergone major repairs and modernization. The carbide and blacksmith workshop building was renovated to accommodate a chemical laboratory.

At the mine construction production site, an administrative building, dormitory, and cafeteria were constructed and commissioned. The administrative building of the plant’s management was also built as a three-story structure with a modern design and suitable working conditions.

More than 200 vehicles and modern pieces of equipment have been imported from abroad to support production operations.

Overall, the restoration of Adrasmon will contribute to the development of the region’s industrial capacity, the creation of new jobs, and the efficient use of the country’s natural resources.

Favorable working conditions have been created for the plant’s employees. Outstanding debts related to wages, taxes, electricity, and other accumulated obligations, which amounted to more than 44 million somoni over the course of 12 years, are being repaid in stages.

With the launch of the new production capacities and the achievement of the projected targets, the Adrasmon Industrial Enterprise could become one of the key centers for the extraction and processing of lead and silver ores, making a significant contribution to the development of Tajikistan’s mining and processing industry.
