Bilateral consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan held in Astana
Dushanbe, 29.08.2016. /NIAT «Khovar»/. Bilateral consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan were held in Astana, on 25 of August 2016.
According to the Tajik MFA Information Department, Tajik delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mahmadsharif Haqdod, and the Kazakh delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Galymzhan Koishybayev.
The parties discussed the state and prospects of development of bilateral relations, and exchanged views on important regional and international issues.
The issues of strengthening of cooperation in trade, economic, water, energy, transport-communication, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres, as well as the extension of the existing legal framework were discussed.
The sides have exchanged views on prospects for future activities of the CSTO, SCO and CIS, including the interaction of two states within the framework of these organizations, including security issues.
At the meeting the sides noted the importance of holding regular consultations at various levels, considering them as an important mechanism to broaden and deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
