Irrigators of Tajikistan will have access to the Regional Centre for Water Research in Egypt
Dushanbe, 10.10.2016 / NIAT «Khovar» /. The Regional Centre for Training and Water Studies of Egypt is ready to provide its capabilities at the disposal of Tajik specialists.
It was stated by the Director of the Regional Centre Zubaydah Mahmoud during her meeting with Ambassador of Tajikistan Khusrav Noziri in Cairo.
“The Egyptian side will welcome the establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation between the relevant authorities of the two countries, as well as mutual learning and exchange of experience in the field of rational use of water resources and irrigation”, — said the center’s director.
The Regional Centre for Training and Water Studies of Egypt was founded in 1982. It is engaged in training and education of both local and foreign specialists. In 2002, the UNESCO took the office under its patronage, and since that time its training programs are drawn up within the framework of hydrological programme of this international organization.
It should be noted that the Director of the Regional Centre Zubaydah Mahmoud and her deputy Mohammed Wahba represented Egypt at the International High-level Water Symposium, which was held on August 9-11, 2016 in Dushanbe.
